This Privacy Policy explains how the Visual Timer for Kids browser extension ("the extension", "we", "us") handles information. It applies to the extension and to the feedback pages it opens on clarityvibe.live. By installing and using the extension, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.
Visual Timer for Kids is a simple tool that does one thing: it shows how much time is left. We believe a timer should not need to know who you are, so the extension is built to work without accounts, sign-ins, ads or tracking across websites. We collect as little as possible, keep it for a limited time, and use it only to make the timer better.
The extension runs in a desktop browser and is set up and used by parents, teachers and other adults. Children may look at the timer on the screen, but they do not operate the extension and do not provide any information to it.
Your settings (such as theme, colors and sound) and a few counters (such as the number of finished timers) are saved with Chrome's chrome.storage. This information stays in your browser, and Chrome may sync it between your own browsers if you have Chrome sync turned on. We do not have access to it.
To understand which features are useful and what to improve, the extension sends anonymous usage statistics to our own server at clarityvibe.live. This includes a random identifier created on install, the extension version and language, timer events with their duration and local time, settings changes, and your rating of the timer.
The random identifier is not connected to your name, email, Google account or any other personal details. It only lets us count, for example, how many timers are used in total, without knowing whose they are.
You can turn statistics off at any time in Settings → Advanced settings. When you do, events that have not been sent yet are deleted and nothing more is sent.
The extension does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, browsing history, the content of the pages you visit, passwords or payment information. It cannot read the websites you visit and works only inside its own timer window. Our server does not store IP addresses.
After a timer you may be asked to rate it, and when you remove the extension you may see a short survey. Answering is always optional. Feedback and survey answers you choose to send are stored on our server. The email field is optional and is used only to reply to you.
We use the information described above only to keep the extension working well, to fix problems, to decide which features to improve, and to reply to feedback. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to Visual Timer for Kids.
We never sell, rent or trade information. We do not share it with third parties, except where we are required to do so by law.
Information is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on a server that only we can access. Usage statistics are anonymous: they describe how the timer is used, not who uses it, and contain nothing that could identify you.
Usage statistics are kept for up to 13 months and then deleted automatically. Feedback is kept only as long as it is useful for improving the extension or until you ask us to delete it.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as with any web request (Google Privacy Policy). If you choose to leave a review on the Chrome Web Store, Google's privacy policy applies there.
The extension does not request any other permissions.
You can turn off usage statistics in the settings, or remove the extension at any time to stop all data collection. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete information about you. To make a request, write to the address below. Because statistics are anonymous, they cannot be linked to you. If you included your email with feedback, we can find and delete that feedback at your request.
We may update this policy as the extension changes. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
